While I was thinking about dressing up as Mr. Plant next year for Halloween, I was also thinking...
Ashur has like perfect posture or whatever.
But I always picture Mr. Plant with kind of a slouch.
Not super dramatic but like, arms kind of hanging in front of him while he stares unblinking at you.... and you aren't sure if he's just lost in thought or if he's contemplating lunging at you from where he is.
I don't remember if I ever brought that up before.
Either way, it's gonna be fun trying to make a Mr. Plant mask.

I always like to think that Argos can be just as intense about his friendships as he can be about his romantic relationships.
He may not fixate on you the exact same way as his partners, but if you've declared yourself a friend of Argos and he feels the same way, then you've automatically strapped yourself in for life.
Whether you like it or not.
He doesn't get to keep a lot of friends after all, so he'll do everything he can to make sure you don't go anywhere.
But he's a silly guy who likes to help the best he knows how! So how bad can it be?

dumping some sketches of other ocs here + Mark and Argos
I've had Jun almost as long as I've had Thorn. I need to give her more attention.
me yapping under cut:
Was a little self conscious about the fact that I made her Argos' cousin. I just really wanted to play with the idea of Argos having one known living family member. And maybe even possibly not being sure if they're actually related or not.
But anyway, Jun is my traumatized, streamer, lesbian fail-girl who can't talk to women not because of awkwardness, but due to the ✨trauma✨.
She admires from a distance.
She is an energy addicted gamer and aspiring drummer who ended up bonding with Mark when she moved into the same neighborhood (?) as Argos and Mr. Plant.
She also gets along pretty well with Mr. Flower. He and Mark exhibit a sense of normalcy for her.
She spent most of her life among humans and is adjusting to life in the Void.
Argos and Mr. Plant make her incredibly nervous, but Mark and Mr. Flower assure her they're not that bad.
Usually.
And then there's Onii. Childhood best friend of Thorn and drummer in a band they used to be in together. Onii is one of Jun's biggest inspirations for picking up drums in the first place.
She has big dreams and is a relentless pursuer of her path but for now, she's on a mission of vindication.
She's a silly sentimental lady who is easily flustered if you bring it up. u wu
She hits hard tho tho so don't tease her too much.
Can also hold a grudge like crazy.
Finds Jun very endearing.

Revisiting My Disgaea Twomp Crossover idea i did art for some time ago cause i dared to listen to the Disgaea 3 OST again.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These motherfuckers!!! I want to go back and re-design them. Mostly Argos. My attempt with a Disagaea-esque Argos was more of a, "can I replicate the game's art style and still make it look like The Character ™️?" Whereas with Mr. Plant, I just went full ham and I think he'd fit into the universe well enough, but I have more interesting ideas for a more in universe Demon Argos. 😤 And I of course also want to make designs for Thorn and Mr. Flower. <:3c I already know exactly what I want to do for them and while I was out on my evening walk in the stabbiest part of the city, I was re-visting these tiny half baked ideas for these AU demon boiz.
So so much of my usual yapping + plus some sketches at the end:
I love the idea of Mr. Flower being the only not-demon in the group. I've also stuck him in the Flonne scenerio where he's come down to the Netherworld for a single job and he's got a protective ward keeping him from being corrupted while he's down there.
I imagined he was sent on something of a recon mission to check out some crazy activity and energy fluctuations that were being picked up from all the way up in Celestia.
"What in the world are those silly demons up to down there???"
Mission: Go poke around and find out and report back any suspicious activity you find. Make sure they're not causing anymore trouble than usual.
But as Mr. Flower closes in on the site of the occurrence, Something happens so that Mr. Flower either loses his protective charm or it gets destroyed and now he has to quickly find his way back to Celestia before he becomes a demon and is stuck in the Netherworld forever.
So Mr. Flower is forced to abort his mission, and obviously it isn't easy.
Between wretched demons with their own agendas and powerful barriers keeping worlds separated, poor Mr. Flower has his work cut out for him. His charm was also his key to get back home, so without it, he's locked out, vulnerable and can't seem to get into contact with anyone from Celestia.
Thankfully, Mr. Flower runs into Argos, a curious demon who seems keen on helping others! Not to mention, he is absolutely ecstatic at the prospect of getting to learn about Angels first hand.
Many say they're supposed to be sources of good fortune after all. And since it's a shame that misfortune seems to follow Argos wherever he goes, he's going to try his best to befriend this divine good-luck charm! And although Mr. Flower doesn't trust Argos as far as he can throw him, Argos is all he's got.
Besides, Argos has proven himself very capable in battle, and a capable battle buddy is definitely something Mr. Flower needs in his situation.
He's not sure what to make of Argos' large and quiet companion though. While also (terrifyingly) strong and reliable, Mr. Flower can't make heads or tails of Mr. Plant, what his intentions are, what he's thinking... He sort of just hovers around him and Argos when he isn't off doing his own thing.
Whatever that is.
Besides standing around eerily, crushing enemies horrifyingly quick and disappearing randomly, Mr. Plant mostly spends his time sleeping and eating. And although he's a powerhouse in battle, he gets tired out very quickly.
The two don't say much at all about what they were doing before they ran into Mr. Flower, but they do mention that they're headed to meet up with the Netherworld's current Overlord.
At least, Argos does.
Argos wants to use her library for something, and he promises Mr. Flower that the library trip is to his benefit as well.
"...It has everything after all, from cookbooks by the Netherworld's finest chefs to forbidden Arcane arts! There's bound to be something there to help get you back home. :)"
And really at this point, what does Mr. Flower have to lose?
Still, as Mr. Flower spends more time with his new travel companions, he finds there is definitely something horribly off about both Mr. Plant and Argos, but without Mr. Flower's pendant he can't get a proper reading on anyone. And they're definitely not interested in divulging too much about themselves.
Like, what's Argos' connection with the Overlord? Or can anyone just waltz into the Overlord's castle and ask to use her stuff so casually? Why does Argos need access to her library specifically anyway? What was he doing so close to the site Mr. Flower needed to investigate, especially since it was a barren wasteland when he got there?
And what's the deal with Mr. Plant..?
But that's the least of Mr. Flower's worries then they come across a bridge guarded by a magical barrier spanning miles with a toll fee of 3000 hl (we'll assume the exchange rate from hl to usd is dollar to dollar here 👍) and no way for the group to force themselves through.
The three probably have about 50 hl on them altogether unfortunately.
And to make matters worse, the three encounter Thorn who has his heart set on becoming the next Overlord- a common enough goal of many a demon in the Netherworld but not one many are able to achieve.
Thorn seems convinced he's different though.
Also a common sentiment among demons whose hearts are set on ruling.
But aside from attempting to become the next overlord, he also reveals he's been after Argos for some time now, as he's taken interest in Argos' apparent ability to find rare gemstones that are often imbued with unique powers.
Something Argos neglected to mention and who seems rather flustered at having that made known about him. And something of great interest to a demon looking to overthrow the current Overlord.
Thorn comes off as not much more than a loud nuisance at first, and a real troublesome obstruction as he also takes an interest at the prospect of having an Angel companion to boost his odds at becoming Overlord.
Thankfully, Mr. Plant and Argos are able to keep him at bay until the four of them seem to come to an understanding and ultimately strike some kind of deal.
Aside from being a delusional, unrelenting (annoying) powerhouse, Thorn is also loaded. So, in exchange for Argos and his party joining Thorn on his way to the Overlord's castle, Thorn pays their way across the bridge.
Mr. Flower: "3000 hl for a half mile trip across a rickety bridge is diabolical!"
Thorn: "Yeah it's kinda funny. Shame I never thought of it first."
Mr. Flower: "It's a HUGE inconvenience! And what about people who need to get across in an emergency!?" Argos: "Oh, they have protocol for that. If it's life threatening they let you across for free! ^^ Only once though..."
Mr. Flower: "Is my situation not life threatening enough?"
Argos: "...You know... I didn't even think to bring it up."
And their adventures continue from there but this post is already dragging on way too long so I'm just gonna leave it here for now and also these sketches I did.
Enjoy.

my god
twomp streamer au
Argos who streams and had to do all the convincing in the world to get Mr. Plant to join him during them. He still won't cause he doesn't like the idea of being in front of an audience as often as Argos is, but he'll mod for Argos and when he's feeling more up to being in the spotlight, Mr. Plant will use those dumb text to speech functions to make snarky or cryptic comments at chat or about the game.
Argos has one of those stupid little vtuber models.
Mr. Plant does not hesitate to ban or fuck with chat.

I'm still at on the clock and taking calls but while I have a minute I'm thinking about 🎉"the child"🎉 from the latest twomp episode.
Do you think Humphrey will end up in the orphanage Argos works at and we'll see him again?
I don't know how likely that is or even if it does happen, how often it would be for him to make an appearance but it's a funny thought to me.
Imagine Argos and Mr. Plant getting pestered by this child-thing about when they're going to adopt him.
And Argos feels awkward and bad about it cause he knows Mr. Plant has no intentions of doing that.
Poor Humphrey.

Thinking back to that post i made where i headcannon'd that Mr. Flower isn't a super big fan of Halloween cause he's not really a horror fan in general. I also said that Thorn talks him into spooky movie nights anyway cause they're great for cuddling.
I like to think he specifically looks for things to ease Mr. Flower into the genre. He's found that Mr. Flower is easily more appreciative of things that favour atmosphere and pacing over gore, violence and jumpscares. But Thorn has also found that older classic horror movies tend to hold Mr. Flower's attention too.
And this interest in classic horror movies has lead to Mr. Plant suggesting classic horror literature to Mr. Flower he thinks he might like.
He's been starting to appreciate the genre a little bit more each time.
As such, Argos has been excited to try and find video games he and Mr. Flower can play! And although those are still a little bit more intense than Mr. Flower would care for, he's come to appreciate the underlying or overall themes they can present.
They both like Silent Hill 2 and 3.
They bicker a little when trying to solve some puzzles together.

I think the best way to sum up the way I like to imagine Mr. Flower's relationship with Argos and Mr. Plant would be...
Tumblr media
And to some extent, Thorn. But he has a way of justifying and explaining his actions in a way that Mr. Flower can make sense of.
...
That or everyone is slowly whittling down Mr. Flower's sanity.

Silly TWOMP Halloween Headcannons!
Mostly Mr. Flower centered (plus my oc x cannon ship because i'll sail this thing to the ends of the earth) because i don't talk enough about him. At least, I don't talk enough about my take on him!
It's the seasons of spooks and I'm excited!!!
But not everyone is…
We know Mr. Plant and Argos love Halloween. Especially Argos! But I like to think Mr. Flower isn't the hugest fan. He likes fall and can appreciate some parts of the Halloween aesthetic, but he's mostly just not really that into the all out horror stuff. Not his thing, but he'll tolerate certain Halloween activities for friends and loved ones!
With enough convincing, you may even get him to try going thru a haunted house with you, but watch out! He's a grabber. If Mr. Flower is startled he'll death clutch the nearest person/thing to him.
Of course he'll play it all off and deny any of it happened once you're out on the other side.
"I did not cling to you the whole way!" "That was Argos..."
With that in mind, Thorn LOVES talking Mr. Flower into horror movie nights. Great excuse for immediate couch cuddles with your difficult boyfriend. --- Also, Every one of Mr. Flower's Halloween loving friends every year vs Mr. Flower:

I require information on the Thorn-Run Job Agency
oooh
OH OH
You have no idea how excited i am that you asked about this one, friendo!!!
This idea started from a desire to play Outlast Trials but alas, that game requires money and i require friends to enhance the experience.
And none of my friends wanted to play with me. Too spooky and/or the money thing. ;C
So i settled for watching lets plays and the lets plays inspired what ifs.
"What if my favourite blorbos in my favourite stressful situations???"
And I started brainstorming and it went beyond a silly Outlast/Twomp crackfic- though that scenario is still in there + more like it from other fun horror games.
In any case, a small overarching plot came into play and it also bore a fun opportunity to play around with Thorn and what I feel his dynamic would be with the main twomp boys + Mr. Flower.
Which is super important for another fic I'm writing and also I just want to parade him around in public.
Behold, my horrible son!
But anyway, i'm not sure calling whatever Thorn is running a job agency? Maybe. Something of the like.
Anyway, the scene that started it all for me:
The air was cold and damp and carried with it the most putrid, heavy nauseating scent.
Musky with an underlying rotten sweetness to it. That mixed with the scent of mildew and god knows what else, it was hard not to find oneself gagging a little as they walked through the doors and into the dilapidated building.
The concrete floor of the hall was caked in blood, both fresh and old and in the centre were unusual tracks and wires spanning the length of the corridor as it appeared to follow it down a specific path.
The distant sounds of buzzing electricity and shrill screaming in the halls had added an extra layer of tension to the already wretched atmosphere.
As Argos took in his surroundings, he could clearly tell that Mr. Flower was not acclimating to the environment well at all.
To say he was tense was an understatement. His jaw and fists were tight while his limbs appeared to tremble. The little fan like petals that were his ears were pressed so tightly against his head that they may as well not have existed at all. Still, Mr. Flower's expression never shifted from stiff, pursed lips and a furrowed brow, but he kept in fairly close proximity with the gates that he, Argos and Mr. Plant had just come through.
Even though he had to know that they'd be locked the moment they entered this section of the building.
That was what they had just been told after all. Once the three were in, there was no way out until the job was done.
"Everyone past the gates and accounted for?" Came a voice from somewhere off to the side, grabbing the attention of the three disoriented Void-men.
It sounded staticy and like it was coming from above.
The lighting was unreliable at best, with many of the side rooms in the hall they stood in being engulfed in darkness or the hallway lights themselves on the low ceilings barely flickering with life.
Still, Argos was able to catch a glimpse of an intercom just above the metal, wired doors they had come through. Next to it, a tiny red flashing light on a mounted camera.
Argos smiled and nodded, flashing the camera a thumbs up. "Everything's good so far. So, you said this was nothing more than an escort job. Who exactly are we escorting?" Argos questioned while Mr. Plant sauntered to his side, hands wringing as even he felt on edge.
But that was always the case when it came to working under Thorn.
"Normally the debriefing happens before you send us out on a job." Mr. Flower muttered, one tense hand resting under his shoulder as he stayed in his little corner.
"Yeah- uh, sorry about that. We're on a bit of a time crunch today. But there should be a map and some supplies in that first aid cabinet next to the cutie in the corner." Thorn said through the intercom, and as he did, Mr. Plant moved to retrieve the aforementioned supplies.
All the while Mr. Flower tried to hide a red faced scowl at the comment that had just been made about him.
Mr. Plant pulled the cabinet doors open with a slight screech from the half rusted hinges, rewarded with the promised map, four flashlights, two small first aid kits and what appeared to be two tasers.
Argos quickly approached to get a good look at their inventory and to see how he could fit them into his backpack. Curiously, the eye-clad creature tilted his head at their choice of items. Simultaneously, the concern on Mr. Flower's face had deepened greatly as he too got a good look at everything.
Those were concerning and very telling items to be given on what was supposed to be a simple job.
"Oh, and another thing, this facility is mostly defunct. Whatever wacky research or experiments were happening here aren't anymore, but a lot of it's old security features are still in effect." Said Thorn casually. "What does that mean..?" Mr. Flower asked through gritted teeth.
"Means be careful out there, babe. Oh! And also if you check the map real quick..." Explained Thorn, who was likely watching as Mr. Plant unfurled the map they were given, revealing a small room to the East of their current location with four points nearby marked in red.
"Your assignment should be in that room to the East, but you're gonna need to unlock it by activating the switches marked on the map."
"Sounds easy enough!" Argos chimed in, chipper as usual.
"... At the same time." Thorn quickly added.
Mr. Plant tilted his head in question at that added fact and similarly Argos' expression fell to puzzlement and concern. Mr. Flower let out something of a frustrated hiss however. "There's only three of us." He stated matter of factly. "Why would we be sent out a member short if they knew this was part of the job?" He asked, frustrated and anxious.
Argos shrugged, "Clerical error I guess..." He said through a nervous smile, "I'm sure this comes with a backup plan!" Argos said, trying to maintain a more optimistic outlook.
"Oh don't worry about a thing, sweetheart. Of course we got you covered!" Thorn piped up through the intercom.
"This mission is particularly special, and so we made sure to match up my favourite crew with only the best fill-ins." The rose monster assured.
This information piqued the interest of the group of course, although Mr. Flower remained mostly incredulous. "Who?" Asked Argos.
"Me! Now why don't y'all head on down to the end of the corridor and we'll meet up on the other side. It's gettin' a little dicey over here."
